Pilates-Mat

Spring Session Begins April 26
Summer Session Begins June 21

Classes meet twice a week for 8 weeks

This is a Mat Pilates class connecting and conditioning each individuals' whole being - body and mind.  Using the Eastern and Western traditions and philosophies of exercise, the Eastern approach embraces calm centering and wholeness, with an emphasis on stretching and limbering; the Western approach brings more attention to developing muscle tone and strength through movement.  The combinations of the two is the basis for this holistic system of exercises helping you to build muscular strength and endurance with flexibility to achieve muscular balance, all with attention to conscious breath and mindfulness of the movements.  This format is performed on a mat on the floor, utilizing a variety of positions (e.g. seated, supine, prone, side-lying or standing).

Cost: Full Member: $80
          Basic Member: $112
Drop-In: $8.00 per class


Silver Sneakers I (Muscular Strength & Range of Movement)

Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance, and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support. This class is FREE to all Full Members!

CHI FIT
This is a wellness discipline for the over 18 crowd! This is a low intensity, breathing and stretching programd designed to teach you to reach that inner core of well-being you were born with but seem to have misplaced during your busy life.  And when you feel better, you will also look better.
Bring towel and water.  You can choose two classes each week

Monday & Thursdays 9:00am-9:40am
Tuesday & Fridays 10:00am-10:40am

CARDIO KICKBOXING
Want a more intense workout?  Want to relieve the stress in your life while getting in shape?  Then this is the program for you.  You will kick and punch your way to a level of wellness and fitness you've never experienced before.  A 55 minute kickboxing class has been found to burn 800 to 1,000 calories while toning and shaping your body. This workout is NOT just for the physically fit person.  While all participants will be moving with the same technique , each indvidiual can tailor their workout according to their ability and current fitness level.  You will measure your results by the way your clothes fit, not the way you kick and punch!
Bring water and towel.  Gloves available $12 to $25.  You can choose two classes each week
