Healthy Living at the YMCA of Gloucester County

We strive for a “healthy lifestyle for all,” a lifelong process of caring, exercising, and feeding the spirit, the mind, and the body. We offer a variety of fitness classes, activities, and programs, that meet you where you are and take you where you want to be.

PICKLEBALL

Join us to learn how to play.

Pickleball is a fun game that is played on a badminton court with the net lowered to 34 inches at the center. It is played with a perforated plastic baseball (similar to a whiffle ball) and wood or composite paddles. It is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced competitive game for experienced players.

 

Open play. Net 1 for beginners/social nets 2 and 3 for intermediate and advanced players. Price is $5 per person. Limited extra paddles and balls available. first come first serve. Sign-ups available online or through our App YMCA of Gloucester County or in person. You can also see our time on meetup.

Yoga

A Hindu spiritual and ascetic discipline, a part of which, including breath control, simple meditation, and the adoption of specific bodily postures, is widely practiced for health and relaxation.

Shape it Up!

A sculpting class inspired by Pilates and ballet taught using a ballet barre and chair. Light resistance bands and light weights are used to tighten and tone the entire body.

Personal Training

Whether you want to lose weight, regain flexibility, develop speed or simply feel good again, personal training is an activity that will continue to reap benefits in years to come. Our personal trainers are certified trainers that are dedicated to empowering you with the motivation and knowledge you need to get and stay fit for life.
