2025 Summer Camp Info
The Gloucester County YMCA Day Camps operate daily from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. with Before-Camp Care (7 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.) and After-Camp Care (4:00 p.m. – 6 p.m.) available for FREE. For maximum flexibility, you may choose to attend any combination of our 11 one-week sessions or locations, which run from mid June to September.
We have two summer camp locations for 2025:
- Gloucester County YMCA: 235 E Red Bank Ave. Woodbury, NJ 08096
- This camp offers a safe and engaging environment for children to explore, grow, and thrive to create unforgettable memories. With activities like swimming, creative arts and crafts, sports, and team-building games, there’s something for every child to enjoy. Our experienced and caring staff are dedicated to ensuring a fun and enriching experience for all campers.
- Taylor Bell Fields: 720 Washington Ave, Clayton, NJ 08312 (member rate for Clayton residents)
- This camp offers a unique blend of hands-on learning, creativity, and fun, designed to inspire and engage young minds. Through a variety of interactive workshops, experiments, and projects, campers will explore the fascinating worlds of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. From building robots and coding programs to designing art installations and conducting science experiments, our campers will develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration skills in a supportive and stimulating environment.

- Members: $310/week (assistance available)*
- Non-members: $340/week
- $35 one-time registration fee
- $30 deposit for each week (non-refundable)

Explorers of the Earth
Activities: Nature scavenger hunts, geography games, map reading, plant identification, and rock collecting.
Goal: Cultivate a love for nature and Earth sciences. |
Week 2

Switch Week
Ever wonder what it would be like to be a summer camp counselor or even the camp director? This week will give campers the opportunity to be counselors and counselors to be campers. |
Space Odyssey
Activities: Build model rockets, create constellations, design an astronaut suit, learn about planets, and telescope observations (if available).
Goal: Inspire curiosity about space and our solar system. |
Week 3
June 30-July 4

Party in the USA
Join us in celebrating America through all things RED, WHITE, and BLUE for Independence Day. |
Mad Scientists
Activities: Conduct safe chemistry experiments, make slime, create simple machines, explore physics with fun tests, and learn about famous inventors.
Goal: Teach kids about science in a fun, hands-on way. |

Holiday Week
Let’s keep the Holiday parties going. Deck the halls with Spooky Valentines and St. Patty’s Day Fun! Bring your festive spirit and enjoy a week of Holiday happiness.

Ocean Adventures
Activities: Learn about marine life, create ocean crafts, study ocean habitats, and enjoy water games and sandcastle building.
Goal: Foster interest in marine biology and conservation. |

Talent Week
It is your time to Shine! Let’s celebrate campers and counselors unique talent. See who takes the top prize at the end of the week.

Time Travelers
Activities: Travel “through time” by learning about different historical periods each day, from ancient Egypt to the Wild West, and reenact historical events.
Goal: Build knowledge of world history in a playful, immersive way. |
Week 6
July 21- July 25 |
Spirit Week
An all camp competition that will reveal the ultimate YMCA spirited campers and counselors. Last summer the Green Team took the Spirit Cup, see which team will take it this year. |
Art Masters
Activities: Explore various art forms like painting, clay sculpting, collage-making, and visit or create a mini art exhibit.
Goal: Encourage self-expression and creativity through art. |

Wacky Water Week
Water games, water games, and more water games! What other way to beat the hear than with …you guessed it- WATER!! |
Adventure Sports
Activities: Introduce kids to new sports each day—rock climbing, soccer, archery, or obstacle courses.
Goal: Promote physical fitness and teamwork. |

Campers Vs Counselors
Throughout this week campers and counselors will compete against each other in various activities that will show their talents, physical fitness, craftiness, and brains. |
Inventor’s Workshop
Activities: Use recyclables and basic materials to invent gadgets, build simple machines, and practice design thinking.
Goal: Teach problem-solving and creativity through invention. |
Week 9
Aug 11 -Aug 15 |
Outdoor Explorers
Become one with nature this week as we learn all about navigating the wilderness and identifying everything that’s around us. From bugs to trees to natural formations, learn about what makes being outside the best! |
Around the World
Activities: Each day represents a different country with food, crafts, music, and dances from that culture. Goal: Introduce kids to global cultures and customs. |
Week 10

Throwback Week
Let’s go back – Waaaaay back! Back in time… Well not that far back… Enjoy this summer’s MVP activities as we revisit those games, sports, events and various activities that made this summer DYNAMITE! |
Superhero Academy
Activities: Create superhero costumes, design their own superpowers, build teamwork with “hero missions,” and do a final showcase.
Goal: Foster self-confidence, teamwork, and creativity. |
Week 11

Super Summer Camp Wrap Up
What’s a better way to celebrate the end of a great summer than having a dance party, YMCA style! Campers will get the chance to show their best dance moves and even challenge another camper or counselor to a dance off. |
Outdoor Survival
Activities: Learn basic survival skills like orienteering, knot tying, building a shelter, and first aid basics.
Goal: Teach responsibility, resilience, and respect for the outdoors. |
