Summer Camp 2024 Registration is Open!

2024 Summer Camp Info

The Gloucester County YMCA Day Camps operate daily from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. with Before-Camp Care (7 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.) and After-Camp Care (4:00 p.m. – 6 p.m.) available for FREE. For maximum flexibility, you may choose to attend any combination of our 11 one-week sessions or locations, which run from mid June to September.

We have two summer camp locations for 2024:

  • Gloucester County YMCA: 235 E Red Bank Ave.  Woodbury, NJ  08096
    • This camp offers a safe and engaging environment for children to explore, grow, and thrive to create unforgettable memories. With activities like swimming, creative arts and crafts, sports, and team-building games, there’s something for every child to enjoy. Our experienced and caring staff are dedicated to ensuring a fun and enriching experience for all campers.
  • Taylor Bell Fields: 720 Washington Ave, Clayton, NJ 08312 (member rate for Clayton residents)
    • This camp offers a unique blend of hands-on learning, creativity, and fun, designed to inspire and engage young minds. Through a variety of interactive workshops, experiments, and projects, campers will explore the fascinating worlds of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. From building robots and coding programs to designing art installations and conducting science experiments, our campers will develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration skills in a supportive and stimulating environment.

Camp for ages 5-14

Price:

  • Members: $310/week (assistance available)*
  • Non-members: $340/week
  • $30 one-time registration fee
  • $30 deposit for each week (non-refundable)

Gross-O-logy

Kids dive into the wonderfully icky world of biology! Each day at Grossology Summer Camp is a thrilling adventure filled with gross and fascinating discoveries.

Week 2

June 24th – June 28th

Trading Places

Ever wonder it would be like to be a camp counselor? This week will give some campers the opportunity to be counselors.

The Science of Sports

See how the pro’s do it! From the body mechanics, to the science of the arena, kids will dive into what makes sports unique.

Week 3

July 1st – July 5th

Party in the USA

Join us in celebrating the USA through all things RED, WHITE, and BLUE.

Let’s Get Digital

Explore Stop Motion Animation, green screen creation, and so much more during this week of exploring our digital world.

Week 4

July 8th – July 12th

Camp-O-Ween

Ghosts, Goblins, and Campers OH MY! Campers and staff will be able to wear their favorite masks and costumes and we will end the week with a trick-or-treat fest.

Up in the Air

If you can throw it, launch it, or fly it, we will explore it this week! From objects that defy gravity, to NASA’s greatest accomplishments, our campers will discover their passion for the world above.

Week 5

July 15th – July 19th

Spirit Week

An all camp competition that will reveal the ultimate YMCA-spirited campers.  Let the color wars begin!

Get the Gears Turning

Cars, trucks, clocks, the world runs on gears, lets take a deep dive into some of our greatest innovations.

Week 6

July 22nd – July 26th

SplashTacular

Water, water games, and more things water! Soaking wet games from water balloons, water slide relay races and more!

Books and Movies

Think some of your favorite books – Harry Potter, Percy Jackson!  Kids will bring these stories to life during camp.

Week 7

July 29th – Aug 2nd

Full STEAM Ahead

This week of awesome activities involves introducing campers to a unique variety of STEAM projects, games, and challenges.  Activities will spark curiosity and encourage the imagination of every camper.

Natural Disasters

Earthquakes, tornados, tsunamis, the world is full of dangerous disasters.  Kids will explore why they happen, and discuss ways people can help prepare and prevent these disasters!

Week 8

Aug 5th – Aug 9th

Fun and Fitness Week

Take a step to a better YOU, a perfect combination of fun and fitness.  Campers will participate in yoga, learn about nutrition, and take part in fitness challenges.

Coding

Throughout the week, campers will engage in hands-on coding activities, challenges, and projects that will enhance their problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Our goal is to inspire creativity and a passion for coding in a fun and supportive environment.

Week 9

Aug 12th – Aug 16th

Superheroes and Villains

Superheroes endure generation after generation. With that said, there would be no need for superheroes without some top-notch villains to keep them on their toes. Campers and staff will be able to dress up as their favorite superhero or villain.

 

All Things Outer Space

Welcome to the “All Things Outer Space” Camp Week, where young explorers embark on an exciting journey through the cosmos!

Week 10

Aug 19th – Aug 23rd

Camp Rewind

Did you love all the games from Spirit week? Did you want to bring back some water activities from Wet and Wild Water week? Then you’re in luck, spend one of the last weeks of camp revisiting all of our favorite activities and games as we put the entire summer on rewind.

Structures

The worlds tallest buildings, longest bridges, kids will discover how these came to life! Think of what materials help create the world we see today, metals, woods, rubber, and so much more!

Week 11

Aug 26th – Aug 30th

Super Summer Wrap-up

What’s a better way to celebrate the end of a great summer than having a dance party, YMCA style! Campers will get the chance to show their best dance moves, or even challenge another camper or counselor to a dance off.

Water Runs the World

Throughout the week, campers will participate in interactive workshops, and hands-on activities to deepen their understanding of water and inspire them to become advocates for water conservation and stewardship.
